DEVCON Philippines and the Sui Foundation are officially kicking off a year-long partnership to bring world-class technology to local communities, starting with support for DEVCON Kids 🚀. This Part 1 collaboration features two key pillars: the Hour of AI and Creative Robotics education, focusing on the grassroots level to teach children about the responsible use of AI 🤖. Through the Hour of AI—a global movement that empowers students to move from passive watchers to active creators—the partnership ensures young innovators understand how AI functions while emphasizing ethics and critical thinking in emerging technology. To support the Creative Robotics education pillar, the Sui Foundation is donating micro:bit Explore Kits 🎒. Specifically designed for kids to make learning fun and accessible, the micro:bit is a pocket-sized, codable computer originally created by the BBC to transform students into active digital innovators 💻. These kits are packed into small, luggage-sized bundles designed for easy travel, ensuring they can be transported seamlessly to any of DEVCON’s 11 chapters across the country. Featuring LEDs, buttons, and sensors, these kits allow students to transform abstract code into tangible experiments, ensuring the next generation of changemakers in the Philippines are not left behind by emerging technology 🇵🇭.
