𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮. 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁? 🧐 The BetterGov.PH summit brought together government agencies, civil society organizations, students, professionals, and developers under one theme: Building Together. Its core idea is that real change happens when the people who understand the problems, the people who have the data, and the people who can build the solutions work in the same room. 🤝 Throughout the summit, participants explored public service challenges, connected with CSOs and government partners, and looked at how open data and civic technology can make government more transparent and accountable. Developers, designers, researchers, and advocates collaborated side by side, and nobody needed to have all the answers. They only needed to be willing to contribute. 💡 👉 Want to contribute? 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲: 𝗗𝗘𝗩𝗖𝗢𝗡 𝗖𝗲𝗯𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆 💯 DEVCON Cebu takes the spotlight this week. As part of celebrating 17 Years of DEVCON: Engineering an AI-Ready Nation, this chapter's story from 2025 is resilience as much as it is reach. Twenty four events, fifteen organized and nine co-organized, including Cebu becoming the first of DEVCON's 12 chapters to run a dedicated cybersecurity event. The team regularized its geekups, partnered on Chain of Thought and Hacktoberfest, and kept showing up as a go-to resource for tech talent in the region. Hour of AI ran once last year, reaching 30 students at San Jose Elementary, just weeks after the region weathered an earthquake and two typhoons. The team made sure the students and volunteers were safe and ready before pushing through. In the words of the DEVCON Cebu team, success in 2025 came from leading with empathy and perseverance, building not just numbers but a foundation of trust in the communities they serve. A huge thank you to Dom, the Visayas Leads, and core officers Phoebe, JC, and Wayne for showing up every step of the way. Every chapter grows because people showed up and stayed. Cebu is what that looks like when it doesn't stop, proving that as we engineer an AI-ready nation, our strongest architecture will always be our people. 👉🏻 Follow DEVCON Cebu: https://www.facebook.com/devconcebu 👉🏻 Register at DEVCON+ and discover a chapter near you: https://devcon.plus/ #DEVCONPH #17YearsofDEVCON #EngineeringAnAIReadyNation #DEVCONCebu #ChapterShowcase
